Jon Stewart holds a plastic gun on the ‘Daily Show’
In the satire news program "The Daily Show" John Stewart has been touching the gun control topic. While talking about the role of media in the rise of violence thrugout videos and films, he held a plastic rifle. "I'm not sure what happened. I blacked out in the middle of that and woke up with an AK in my hands, or whatever this is," Stewart joked. "I'm sure I'll get letters about what this really is -- which is plastic is what it really is." NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre clips were shown  in which he declared the desire of a national database including mentally ill people, at that point Mike Huckabee said: "Ultimately we don't have a crime problem, or a gun problem, or even violence problem. What we have is a sin problem." "We can dance around the issue all we want. We can blame movies, or video games, or the mentally ill, or God," Stewart said after the clips. "It's a complex problem, and all solutions have to be on the table. But it is time we talk about guns."
