A Cameroon court sentenced 5 years of prison for two men accused of looking gay when they ordered an Irish coffee. The court the ordered the release of the two men who had already spent more than a year in jail where they were subjected to abuse from guards and other prisoners, according to human rights advocates. President Paul Biya was urged to release the two for the new laws of human rights about gays. Unfortunately this is not the first case: on December 17, a Cameroonian court upheld the five-year-sentence of another man, Roger Jean-Claude Mbede, who was convicted of sending a text message that said “I love you” to another man.
